Glenn H. Wasson, 57, entered into eternal life on September 13, 2008, in Reno, NV. He was born in Schurz, NV on October 16, 1950, to Stanley G. and Naomi (Northrup) Wasson and was a member of the Lovelock Paiute Tribe. Glenn graduated from Pershing Co. High School in 1969, and continued his education at Sierra College, Haskell Indian University and the University of Nevada-Reno. He was employed by the Lovelock Paiute Tribe, served on the Tribal Council, as well as being the Tribal Chairman for many years. Glenn was also a member of the Inter-Tribal Council of Nevada Executive Board and Indian Health Board. He worked for Pershing Co. High School as the Boys Junior Varsity Basketball Coach and one year as the Girls Varsity Basketbell Coach and had planned to assist with the Football Team. Glenn volunteered and dedicated himself to many Junior and Senior High School activities and for many years taught PE at the Elementary School.

Glenn is preceded in death by his father, Stanley G. Wasson; sisters, Walita and Nevada and baby boy Wasson. He is survived by his mother, Naomi (Northrup) Wasson of Lovelock; daughter, N. Rosie Wasson of Lovelock; granddaughter, Ariana Gardipe of Reno; grandson, Zayin Glenn Wasson; sister, Sherri (Chuck) Sandusky of Lovelock; sister, Cheryl Wasson of Reno; niece, Serena Wewa of Lovelock; niece, Glennys Tobey-Wasson of Reno; nephew, Derek Sandusky of Lovelock; great nephew, Landon Smith; aunt, Ethelyn Osborne of Lovelock; aunt, Adele Snooks of Lovelock; uncle, Harry Pancho of Reno and numerous cousins, family and special friends, Lance and Sandy Condie.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 17, 2008, 4 p.m.- 8 p.m., at the Lovelock Funeral Home, 655 11th Street. The funeral will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2008, 11 a.m. at the Pershing Co. High School Gym, 1215 Franklin Ave., with burial at the Lovelock Indian Cemetery, and dinner to follow at the Catholic Hall.
