(Also listed under Charles Lacker Sergt. Co. D and as Charles W.). Was Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant July 16, 1864 with rank from June 30, 1863. Listed in Empire Township 1894 Veterans Census of MI. Died May 2, 1901 Age 65 Years. Buried in Maple Grove (Empire Union) Cemetery. Book on the 8th N.Y. Artillery: "Full Measure of Devotion" by Wilbur Dunn, Newfane, NY & information from John Ladwig Niagra Co. Historical Society. Lockport, NY. (Relatives: Gilbert Lackor 26th MI of Traverse City & Lt.
