She attended St. John's School as well as Peabody High School where she graduated. Her primary language was English, but could speak a bit "of the Gaelic." Catherine was a seamstress and also performed some clerical work at Pequot Mills. She was an Assembler of small parts at Raytheon and a Nurses Aide during WWII. She enjoyed ceramics.
Catherine had a brother, William who was stationed at Pearl Harbor during 1941. Other siblings were John, Wilfred, Henry, Eileen (Harris), and Mary (Connolly). Catherine pre-deceased her siblings.
Family story shares that employees of Pequot Mills had a tradition. If there was a family member getting married, each of the family members working at the mills would get one piece of a set of sheets so that there would be an entire set to gift to the newlyweds. Here it is 2015 and I still have one crisp, cotton sheet (sherbet-colored) that carries the Pequot Mills label on it.
