The funeral service for Martha Jane Saufley, was held in the dear old church where she had worshiped for nearly fifty years. The sermon delivered by the pastor, Rev. J.R. Hedges, from the text found in 1 Cor. 15:35, on the Resurrection, was an able discourse, and very comforting to the sorrowing relatives. The Internment took place in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Her grandsons, as pall bearers, tenderly bore her body to its last resting place. A large concourse of relatives and friends were in attendance at her burial. The profusion and beauty of the floral offerings gave mute evidence of love and affection so worthily bestowed. That we may meet an undivided family in the spirit land is the sincere prayer of one who dearly loved her.

"Dear folded hands, so worn with care,
So quiet on the pulseless breast
Will any burden need you there
If Heaven is a place of rest?
And you, dear heart, will you forget
The struggles of these lower lands;
Or is there some sweet service yet
For folded hands?"
