Richard Lowell "Rick", "Ricky" Archer, age 29, of Pensacola, Florida died Thursday, September 4, 2008. Rick was a member of Laurel View Baptist Church. Rick left this world all too soon. He loved to fish, swim and play his guitar and was always happiest when he was around the water. He will always be remembered for his light hearted spirit and the way he could make you laugh even in difficult times. Rick loved everyone he met and will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Rick was an electrician with Webb Electric and Jim Martin Electric.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Alan Archer.
Survivors include his wife, Shelly Archer; his three children, Devin, T.J. and Hannah; his mother, Jane Hinson; his brother and sister in law, Craig and Bambi Archer; niece and nephew, Cloe and Dalton Archer; his maternal grandparents, John and Helen Hinson; his paternal grandparents, Lowell and Jean Archer; his uncle, Cliff Archer; a special aunt, Ruby Pope; aunt and uncles, Mike and Linda Simmons, Ray Hinson, Tommy Hinson and a host of other cousins, family members, and many friends.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at FAITH CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 100 Beverly Pkwy, with Dr. Allen Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at Pensacola Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Lyle, Lee, Jason, Michael, Wayne and Paul. Honorary pallbearers will be his cousins.
The family will receive friends at Faith Chapel on Tuesday, September 9, 2008 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to help with the funeral expenses.
