William T. Hull, 67, of Reno, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2008 due to complications of cancer and pneumonia. Born in Peoria, IL, Bill Hull graduated from Oxnard High School in Oxnard, CA in 1959 and joined the Air Force, in which he served for four years. He then joined the Army, attended officer candidate school, and was a Green Beret Special Forces. As a helicopter pilot, he served in Vietnam and received many awards, including the Bronze Star, the Distinguished Flying Cross, and the Army Commendation Medal. Major Hull retired in 1995 after 20 years of service to his country.

He is survived by a family who loved him; wife, Becky (Trudeau) Hull, whom he married Nov. 20, 2004; his mother, Carmen Hull of Mackinaw, IL; son and daughter-in-law, Cameron and Shannon Hull and granddaughter, Amelia, all of Los Angeles; stepson, Eric Trudeau of Reno; sisters, Barbara (Dick) Greshan of Mackinaw, IL, Susie (Jim) McCauley of Oxnard, CA, and Becky (Bob) Grizzoffi of Kansas City, MO; numerous nieces and nephews; and little Tessie, his dog.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley, followed by a gathering at the Hull household in Reno.
