Robert "Johnson" Sills was the son of William Sills and Mary Watson, he had six brothers and sisters, and seven brothers and sisters by his step mother Frances Jenkins. Most of his family lived in Georgia and Florida. Johnson married Elizabeth A. (Lizzie) Reagin April 24, 1881. Lizzie was the daughter of James Reagin and Lydia New of Lithonia, GA. Johnson and Lizzie was listed in Lithonia, GA. in the 1880 Census. They had five children; Gideon Sills, Robert W. Sills, Lela Sills, Clarence Hayden Sills, and James Donald Sills. Johnson Sills' G.G.Grandfather, Jonathan Sell, a Quaker, along with Joseph Mattock in 1768 obtained a grant of 40,000 acres from the Royal Governor Sir James Wright help revive the community of Brandon, GA. rebuilt it and named it Wrightsboro.
