DEATH OF G. E. KILPATRICK
G. E. Kilpatrick, 64, died at his home January 8, 1931, at 6:30 o'clock, after a brief illness of pneumonia.
Mr. Kilpatrick was born in Jackson County, Alabama, February 12, 1867, was married to Miss Mollie Robertson, in the year 1897. He was united to the Baptist church at the age of 15 years, and has always lived a Christian life. He was loved by all of those who knew him.
He moved from New Market, Alabama, to Arlington two years ago. Before coming to Texas his occupation was saw mill work. He always owned a saw mill and delighted in that work. He has been in declining health for three years, but said he was feeling good the day before he took his bed. He has made many friends since coming to Texas, as he was always kind and good to everyone. God knows we will miss him, but we know he has gone where there is no suffering and sorrow. Survivors are his wife, four sons, Dewey Kilpatrick, John Kilpatrick, George Kilpatrick, and Billie Kilpatrick. and three daughters, Bessie Kilpatrick, Ruth Kilpatrick and Vivian Kilpatrick and one brother of Madison County, Alabama, William Kilpatrick, and two sisters of Franklin county, Tennessee, Mrs. Thomas Cochran, and Mrs. N. J. Gattis.
Funeral services were held at the Baptist tabernacle at three o'clock Friday afternoon. Burial was in Parkdale cemetery. Pall bearers were L. S. Morgan, C. D. Bird, V. L. Purselley, W. M. Perrett, Geo. Perrett and Emmett Rice.
