Lola Lydia Taylor, daughter of W.M. and Mary E. Branton Taylor, pioneer Texans, was born July 16, 1879, in Williamson County, TX. She was happily married ito Mr. Dan A. Wills, at Holland, TX, where they made their home until their removal to Ozona, where they engaged in ranching and took their place among the prominent and popular citizens of that section. Mrs. Wills was a member of the Church of Christ, having joined in early life, and was a true christian. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was a loyal wife and helpmate and a dependable, considerate friend. She had frequently visited her sister, Miss Susie Taylor, and other relatives here and was highly esteemed by all who made her acquaintance.
NOTE: Although the Obit, Death Certificate and grave stone lists Lola Lydia's birthdate as 12 July 1880 the Taylor family bible lists 16 July 1879 as her birthdate.[Taylor family in Oakwood, Leon Co., TX -1 Jun-1880 Census] She died in Ozona and was buried in Elgin. The Taylor family bible is in possession of her great grand niece.
