Raymond Bascom Morgan, 67, of Golden, Texas, died Saturday at his home.

He was born April 9, 1932, at Grand Saline, Texas, the son of Albert Lonzo and Ella Victoria Christopher Morgan.

Funeral services were today at Roundflat Pentecostal Church with Homer Morgan and Roy Morgan officiating.

Burial followed in Creagleville Cemetery, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline, Texas.

Morgan had lived in Grand Saline and Fruitvale most of his life. He was a member of Roundflat Pentecostal Church. He married Gloria Mae Holbert on July 8, 1957, at Tyler, Texas. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Alvie and Altha Morgan; and a brother, Alvin Morgan.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Gloria Mae Morgan of Golden, Texas; one son, Raymond Christopher Morgan of Grand Saline, Texas; nine daughters, Kathy Frunk of Idabel, Pamela England of Swink, Bonnie Smith of Durant, Debbie Boyett of Clarksville, Texas, Donna McKay of Garvin, Rebecca Parish of Powderly, Texas, Teresa Green of Davenport, Fla., and Lisa Armstrong and Janice Morgan, both of Grand Saline, Texas; one brother, Johnny Mack Morgan, Grand Saline; one sister, Bernice Alexander, Grand Saline; 40 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
