Marie was born March 16, 1926, in Jasper County, the daughter of Lyman and Pearl Leturno Sowers. On March 24, 1946, she married Clifford Clagg and he survives.
Marie was a homemaker and member of Sandy Creek Christian Church, rural Newton.
She will be loved and remembered by her husband of 62 years, Clifford Clagg; son, Earl Clagg; daughter, Linda Koester; grandsons, Kevin and Chad Koester; and brother, Wayne E. Sowers.
Graveside services were held in WestLawn Cemetery, Newton.
Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery, Newton.
Memorials were made to Latona Church of Christ playground fund.
