Keiffa K. (KK) Bratten, 79, died Thursday, January 4, 1990 at his home in Seiling following a long illness. The son of Lucius and Oma Lee Bratten, he was born January 28, 1910 at Wellington.

KK was raised and educated in the Loco area. On November 3, 1929 he and Opal M. Travis were married at Hammon. They made their home in the Hammon area and also lived in both Cuter and Roger Mills Counties for many years where he worked as a farmer.

For many years he was an insurance salesman for Oklahoma National Investors Insurance Company. Due to failing health he retired about 22 years ago. They continued to make their home in the Elk City, OK area before moving to Seiling in 1982 to make their home.

He was a member of the Prairie View Baptist Church near Elk City. He is survived by his wife Opal of the home; two sons, Travis D. Bratten and Rev. Darrell Bratten, both of Seiling; six grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; one sister, Lola Lee White of Albuquerque, NM; two brothers, U.B. Bratten of Victorville, CA and L.B. Bratten of Wellington.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter and one brothers.
