Cecilia Maricondo
Cecilia Maricondo, age 84, of Hockessin, DE, formerly of Dover, DE, passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 25, 2008 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Jack Brzoska.
She was born in Pennsylvania and was the only daughter of the late Walter and Anna Sienzant. She was also preceded in death by her 3 brothers, Edward, Henry and Walter Sienzant. Mrs. Maricondo retired from General Foods in 1983 as a machine operator after 19 years of service. She was a member of Holy Cross Church in Dover and St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Hockessin. She was a very caring and thoughtful person with a great sense of humor whom all her life put other people's needs before her own.
She is survived and will be immensely missed by her beloved husband of 60 years, Benjamin Maricondo; her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Linda and John Brzoska of Hockessin, DE; her 2 grandsons and their wives, Daniel and Eileen Brzoska of Austin, TX and Mark and Diane Brzoska of Wilmington, DE; and her 3 great-grandchildren, Justin, William and Sophia, who all brought her great joy in her life. She also leaves to mourn her death her stepdaughter and son-in-law, Janet and Bob Ambrose of Stratford, CT; 2 grandchildren, Bobby Ambrose, Jr. and Lorrie Carlson and husband, Bill of Stratford, CT; and 4 great-grandchildren, Bobby III, Jennifer, Matthew, Samantha and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Friday, August 29, 2008 at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 2503 Centerville Road, Wilmington where friends may call starting at 10 am. Interment will be held in All Saints Cemetery, Wilmington.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, attn: Tribute Dept., 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
