Paul R. Bemount, 46, former well known Olney resident, died Monday in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. He was employed as a welder by the International Harvester Company.

He was born in Madison Twp. November 27, 1917, a son of James W. and Effie Weston Bemount. He was an overseas veteran of World War II, serving with the U. S. Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Opal; a son, Ronald; two brothers, Jack Bemount of Olney and Adam of Flora; four sisters, Mrs. Roy (Dorothy) Buckles of Olney, Mrs. Charles (Lula) Lovelace of Florida, Mrs. Dudley (Cathline) Gleason of Angola, Indiana and Mrs. Clyde (Martha) Bland of Fort Wayne, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by a son, Phillip, his parents and two brothers, Allen and Norman.

The body has been returned to the Schaub Funeral Home, where services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. with Brother William Read officiating. Interment will be in Eureka Cemetery south of Claremont. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2:00 p.m.
