This is my great grandfather!!

Headstone has the 28th but that is incorrect. Birth certificate has the 27th.

Address on birth certificate: 81 Gurney Villa

His marriage license has his parents as Lewis and Annie and birth certificate has Louis and Ann Doll formerly Fishburn. His brother George Stephen Doll's birth certificate has Lewis and Ann Doll formerly Fishburn.

My sister thought Ann died sometime after 1955 as she thought she remembered her when she was in early grade school. But she would have been terribly old. She knew her maiden name was Fishburn and now we have proof. A 2nd cousin of ours, son of George Doll, who is older then my sister, does not remember Louis and Ann Fishburn Doll. So my sister is probably thinking of another grandmother?? Another cousin told me that she was told that August "Peck" was an orphan.

Louis Doll (looks like Dall) and Ann Fishburn were married January 7, 1863 in Sunderland, County of Durham, England. Certificate is posted on my family tree.

I thought the 1880 census that listed his parents as August and Caroline were the correct family but that is incorrect. I found an August Doell and his wife, Caroline that have a child, August Doell, linked to them that is not my August.

Photo has his brother George.

Another photo has Aunt Bess. She was adopted by the White family. My brother's DNA matches her great-granddaughter.

The photo with the two men, has written on the back: On right A. Doll on left not sure maybe brother George.

I don't think it looks like his brother George from the other photos. George died in 1898. He married in 1897. August married in 1901. So if this is his brother George it would have to be at George's wedding, not at August's wedding. If this picture is at August's wedding I'm wondering if that is the Best Man? The witnesses listed on the marriage license are R. C. Moran and Emaline Moran. Turns out that Richard C. and Emaline Moran were husband and wife (later divorced) and that Richard and August are 1st cousins once removed.
Richard's mother, 1st cousin of August: Sarah Fishburn Moran
