WAYNESBORO-Calvin William Fisher,79,of Rt.3,Box 2450 (Calf Mt.Road) died at 2;45 a.m.on Thursday(July 1, 1999)at his residence.
He was born March 30,1920 in Augusta County the son of Lionel C. and Cleo Victoria (Shifflett) Fisher.
He was a member of Glen Kirk Presbyterian Church where he served as an elder for 20 years and was retired from the former Crompton Shenandoah Co. of Waynesboro with forty years of service.
In addition to his parents,he was also preceded in death by brothers,Cleveland Fisher,Thomas A.Fisher,Alfred Franklin Fisher,Carrie E.Fisher,Ethel Fisher,Delma Rachel Fisher,Emma Beatrice Fisher and Nadine Christine Jackson.
Survivors include his wife of 56 faithful years of marriage,Virginia Fisher,four sons all of Waynesboro, a brother of Hampton, a sister Bessie Thelma Farrar of Waynesboro.grandchildren, well as sixteen Great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandsons.
A service will be conducted 11;00A.M. Saturday (July 3,1999) at Glen Kirk Presbyterian Church by the Rev.Merle Fisher.Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Calvin Spencer,Roy Harlow,Brian Harrison,Greg Fisher,Danny Fisher and Charles R.Coker.
Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7-8;00 P.M. Friday at the Reynolds Funeral Service of Waynesboro and other times at the residence.
