"Spartansburg, November 21 - Miss Treva Blakeslee, daughter of Mr and Mrs Charles L Blakeslee, died of blood poisoning Friday at midnight. Funeral took place Monday in M E church. Burial in Rose Hill cemetery."

"TREVA BELLE BLAKESLEE - We are called upon this week to record the sad death of Treva Belle Blakeslee at the home of her parents, Mr and Mrs Charles Blakeslee, Friday night after but a short illness. She was in her in seventeenth year and had been confined to her bed but a few days. Death was caused by blood poisoning. The funeral was held at the M E church Monday at 1 o'clock. The services being delivered by Rev J A Lyons. The remains were laid to rest in their lot adjoining Rose Hill cemetery. The deceased was a bright student of the tenth grade of our public schools and had won the love and respect of the entire school as was shown by the beautiful floral piece 'Our School Mate' placed on the casket by the pupils. She was the only daughter of Mr and Mrs Charles Blakeslee and is survived by her parents and two brothers. The family have the sympathy of the entire community in their sad bereavement."
