She was born July 1, 1940 in Fitchburg, Massachussetts, a daughter of Robert Lawrence and Adrianne Hazel Hadd Forrest. She graduated from Rancho High School in Las Vegas, Nevada, Class of 1959.
Betty married Richard LeRoy Muir, November 1, 1965 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a member of the LDS Church. Betty enjoyed knitting and crocheting, hunting and fishing and trips to Mesquite, Nevada.
She is survived by her mother, Adrianne Hazel Hadd Daley of Mayfield; her husband, Richard Muir of Sigurd; three daughters: Debora and Kreig Bertelson, Lisa Muir, Adrianne Muir and Allen Thompson, all of Richfield; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; a brother, Len and Debbie Forrest of Henderson, Nevada; two sisters: Kerry Forrest and Lee Rogers, both of Massachussetts.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert L. Forrest; her step-father, John Daley and a grandson, William Lee Thompson.
Funeral services were held Friday, August 10, 2007 at 12 Noon in the Sigurd LDS Ward Chapel.
Grave side services and burial were Friday afternoon at 4:00 P.M. in the Mountain View Cemetery in Beaver, Utah, under the care of the Springer Turner Funeral Home of Richfield, Salina and Gunnison, Utah.
