Lynch was born in Jackson County in 1844 to Nathaniel Lynch (1810-1889) and Eleanor Stephens. Anna's mother Mary Ann Hamilton, was born to Reuben Hamilton and Sarah Ferguson of Bullitt Co. Kentucky and Floyd County, Indiana.
Anna Lynch schooled in the Riley County, Kansas schools, and upon graduation, studied the field of nursing. She practiced nursing for many years and was a resident of Overbrook for over 25 years having moved there around 1910.
Anna met Charles Oliver Smith and they married in 1913. Charles is the son of Charles and Elvina (Raymond) Smith, of Sterling, Massachusetts. Massachusetts Birth Records list Charles Oliver Smith was born on 15 Nov 1865.
Anna and Charles remained in Overbrook, Kansas where Anna continued the practice of nursing, and Charles was engaged in farming. There were no children born to Anna and Charles. Anna died in 1939, and Charles died in 1950. Anna was a sister of Willie Quick, Richard Quick, Charles Lynch, James Jr. Lynch, Nathaniel Lynch, and Martha Lynch.
