William Randolph Powell 'Bill', 66, of Front Royal, died on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2006.
He was born on July 6, 1940, in Pehlam, N. C. and was a son of the late James Clarence and Georgianna Odell Jones Powell.
Mr. Powell was a veteran of the United States Army and Air Force. He was a former employee of Avtex and Odgen Allied and was an active member of the First Assembly of God.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 38 years, Carolyn Rudacille Powell are a daughter Sheree Powell Jennings of Bentonville; three sisters, Faye Presgraves of Marion, Lillie Owens of Front Royal and Anne Vermillion of Stephens City; a brother, Douglas W. Powell of Ormond Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Clarence and Donald Keith Powell.
A funeral service with military honors by the Winchester VFW Post 2123 will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 12, at the First Assembly of God by the Rev. Greg Amos and the Rev. Loren Fetty.
Burial in the Bentonville Cemetery.
