Marianna was married to Jack Briton Bryan. She is the mother of Brenda Don Bryan. She also has a set of twin boys, Jack Briton Bryan, Jr. and Jon Brady Bryan. Both boys were born deaf and Briton also has cerebral palsy. Briton has live in the Denton School, in Denton, Texas for 45 years. He has never been able to walk, hear or talk. Brady is totally deaf. Since his parents death in 1990 and 1991, he has been on his own. Brenda died at age 15. She ran a high fever at age 18 months and then started regressing. She had to be placed in a home and died there.
Marianna has only one sibling, a brother, Don Martin, who has now died. These were Marianna and Jack's only children, all were/are handicapped. Marianna had a heart condition for many years. She passed away in her sleep. Her husband, Jack, died the next year of lung cancer, due to years of smoking.
Marianna was a friend of mine for a number of years until I left Dallas and we lost touch. I reconnected with Brady in August, 2008 - 30 years after seeing them last. We went to see Briton while I was there. Marianna was a sweet lady - she went through so very much with all the children's problems and some of her own. Her family was very unsupportive.
No one in this family has been to see either of the boys since Marianna and Jack died - such a shame.

But.....when I mentioned the boys, she was totally rude and nasty to me and told me to never bring them to her house and she didn't want me there either. She would never let me talk to her husband, the uncle of the boys. I have never been treated in such a way by someone I did not even know or ever met.
