MILDRED V. MEYER, daughter of Harvey and Nieoma Crabdree Moore, was born October 28, 1925, in St. Louis, Missouri, and departed this life July 19, 2008, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of eighty-two years.
On May 11, 1946, she was united in marriage with Henry Meyer and to this union was born four children, all surviving. She and Henry were the definition of what a truly romantic and successful marriage was made of. Each day of the sixty-two years they spent together, they just fell more in love.

Shortly after marriage, she and Henry moved to St. Louis, where she joined Ebenezer Lutheran Church, then St. Peters Lutheran Church, until she and Henry moved to Lebanon in August of 1962, where she transferred her membership to Trinity Lutheran Church. She has remained an active and faithful member. She was involved in many areas of the church, including the Altar Guild and L.W.M.L.

Mildred served as a Pink Lady for Breech Hospital, now St. John's Hospital-Lebanon, from 1972 until 1982. She had such a compassionate heart and enjoyed being able to volunteer her time to those in need.

Mildred had many hobbies including playing cards, especially pinochle, and growing beautiful flowers. She loved wildlife and enjoyed watching turkey, deer, and birds. However, her most treasured moments were those spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her loving husband Henry of the home, two sons, Henry "Hank" Meyer and his wife Sandra, James "Jim" Meyer and his wife Marianne; two daughters, Louise Gadd and her husband John, and Carol Meyer, all of Lebanon; one brother, Carl Moore of Albuquerque, New Mexico; five grandchildren, Lara Barnhill and her husband Jim, Paul Meyer, Michael Bowman, Jodi Stewart and her husband Mike, Shanda Cullen and her husband Josh; four great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one grandson, Steven Bowman, and one brother, Harold Moore, Jr.

Mildred was a loving wife, doting mother, fun-loving grandmother, cherished sister, and loyal friend. She had the ability of lighting up a room by simply walking in. She had a twinkle in her eye that was a mere reflection of the beautiful person she was inside and out. All those who had the pleasure of knowing her will not forget what a blessing she was.
