Brooke Danielle Barber, 10, of Mount Ayr died Aug. 25, 2007, at Decatur County Hospital in Leon from injuries sustained in an accident.

Memorial services will be 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 28, at Mount Ayr Elementary School gym. The Rev. Jeff South will officiate the service. The family will receive friends 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Mount Ayr Elementary School gym. A memorial has been established in her name. Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Brooke Barber, daughter of Christine (Hoffman) and Dan Barber, was born May 12, 1997, in Creston.
She was a fifth-grade student at Mount Ayr Elementary School. She had been a Pop Warner Cheerleader and member of AWANA at the Mount Ayr Regular Baptist Church.

Survivors include her parents, Dan and Christie Barber, brother Braydon Barber, sister Casey (husband Cole) Willis, and niece and nephew Keye and Kamryn Willis, all of Mount Ayr; step-grandfather John Hoffman of Humansville, Mo.; uncles and aunts, Bill Barber and Toni Barber, both of
Osceola, Shawn (husband Dean) Sibley of Stockton, Mo., Elizabeth (husband John) Miller of Bernard and John Hoffman of LaMotte; numerous adopted aunts and uncles and cousins.

Brooke was preceded in death by her grandparents, Wayne and Janice Barber, Dorathy Hoffman and Robert Keele.
