RAE, Mrs. Frances Marion Traylor, left us Thursday afternoon, August 7, 2008, at the age of 81. She passed quietly from this earthly world to her Heavenly reward while in the home of her care-giving daughter. While we certainly will grieve and mourn our loss, it is not loss, but a gain to "Nana" as she leaves a broken body behind for a new glorious body and to live eternally in one of the "many rooms" with Jesus, which He promised for those who accept Him and salvation. Miss Frances Traylor met Mr. Floyd Rae while living at Jackson Field Home in Greensville County, Va. Floyd wooed Frances and their love grew to become a union of husband and wife and brought forth a home God blessed with five children, Gary, Debbie, Cheryl, Scott and Kelly. Frances was a devoted wife and nurturing mother. Her children will always remember her working or cooking while humming hymns, keeping an immaculate yard, as well as reciting a wide variety of nursery rhymes, stories and songs for their enjoyment. Frances had two sisters, Ardella "Della" Andrews, who passed in 2007, and Kathleen "Kitty" Hall, living in Florida. Frances spent this past year in the loving care of her daughter in the home of Rick and Kelly R. May and family. Garnett Floyd Rae Sr. and their eldest son, G.F. "Gary" Rae Jr. preceded her in death in 2007. Her children, Debbie Rae, Cheryl R. Caldwell, Scott Rae, Kelly R. May and their spouses along with "Nana's" 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren will sorely miss her, but they will celebrate her life as they gather to greet friends and family Wednesday evening, August 13, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge, Va., with a memorial service beginning at 7 p.m. A second memorial service and interment will take place Thursday, August 14, at Aberdour Presbyterian Church, Jarratt, Greensville County, Va., at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you contribute to Hospice of Richmond, 7231 Forest Avenue, Suite 100, Richmond, Va. 23226; or to The National Parkinson Foundation, Inc., Office of Development, 1501 NW 9th Avenue/Bob Hope Road, Bob Hope Road, Miami, Fla. 33136-1494.
