LADSON - Annie Mae Altman, 100, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008 at her residence.

Mrs. Altman was born on March 30, 1908 in Varnville. She was a daughter of the late Joseph and Annie Fennell. She was a homemaker and a member of Ladson Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Altman; her sons, Benjamin Franklin Altman, William J. Altman; a daughter, Elizabeth Altman Sharp; a sister, Idell Walker Smith; and a brother, Dee Edward.

Surviving are: One daughter, Mary E. Altman Driggers and husband, Dadvid, of Ladson; three sons, Frank C. Altman of Ladson, John E. Altman and wife, Linda, of Charlotte Hall, Md.; James C. Altman; 17 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren; 18 great great grandchildren.

The family offers a very special and sincere thanks to Winyah Community Hospice Care fowr taking care of Mrs. Altman for the past year.

Funeral services will be held 10 am. Thursday, Aug. 7 at Parks Funeral Home Chapel in Summerville with burial in the Johnson-St. Paul's Cemetery in Hampton.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Winyah Community Hospice, 4055 Faber Place Road, North Charleseton, SC 29405.

Parks Funeral Home of Summerville is in charge of the arrangements. Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home of Hamptn is assisting with the local arrangements
