Obituary - Patchogue, March 23 - Benjamin Ackerly, 74, a lifelong resident of this place, died at the Central Islip State Hospital Saturday. He had been a bayman many years. He is survived by his widow and two brothers, Martin and Emory Ackerly, of this place. Funeral services were held at Ruland's Chapel yesterday, the Rev. Louis H. Johnston officiating. Interment was in Lake View Cemetery.
