Lena was the daughter of John & Esther (Grinnell) Hill. She married Charles MacIntyre on Mar. 27, 1921 and they had two daughters. They also raised her youngest sister, Esther, after both her parents had passed.

Obit - "Lena H. MacIntyre of Airport Road, Eldred, a lifelong area resident, died Sunday, June 16, at her home. She was 88.

The daughter of the late John and Esther Grinnell Hill, she was born Oct. 9, 1902, in Barryville. She was the widow of Charles R. MacIntyre.

Mrs. MacIntyre was a member of the Eldred Congregational Church, Eldred; the ladies auxiliary of the church; and was a 50 year member of the River Valley Chapter No. 33, Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include three daughters, Evelyn Livingston and Betty Getz, both of Eldred, and Esther "Peggy" Gothard of Sciotia, PA; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Friends may call from 7-9 Tuesday at the Knight-Auchmoody Funeral Home, 154 East Main St., Port Jervis.

Services will be held at 2pm Wednesday at the Eldred Congregational Church, Eldred. The Rev. Richard Hotzler will officiate.

Burial will be in Eldred Cemetery, Eldred."
