Edgar was the oldest of seven children born to John E. & Esther (Grinnell) Hill. He and his wife, Marjorie (Wells), had two daughters.
Obit - "Edgar Charles Hill died Dec. 20, 1951 in Eldred. Born in Barryville on Nov. 16, 1897, he was the son of John E. and Esther Grinnell Hill. He married Marjorie Wells, who survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Virginia of Corning, NY and Nancy at home; four sisters, Mrs. Lena MacIntyre and Mrs. Gladys Myers of Eldred; Mrs. Agnes Ernst and Mrs. Edna Hallock of Port Jervis; two brothers, Alvin and Alfred, of Eldred.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Dec. 23, at 1:30pm in his home in Eldred.
Burial will be in the Eldred Cemetery."
