Johann Michael Krintz was born to Johann Martin Krintz and Anna Marianna Streich on 26 Oct 1837. Their original family name was KRENZ. The town was called Podanin, Posen, which was not a selection available in the listing above. This place is now part of Poland, and on some Census, Michael said he came from Prussia-Germany, while on others, he said he came from Poland. Both are correct.

Michael married his first wife, Anna Louise Bueto, in Posen on 21 Jan 1862, and they had two sons there: Gustave Emil "August" (1866-1934); and Wilhelm Martin "William" (1868-1949). The family came to America and lived in Wisconsin for awhile. Amel Frederick was born to them in Wauwatosa in 1870. He died in Reynolds, White, Indiana in 1949. They moved to White County, Indiana, and Bertha Louise "Bettie/Bertie" was born 20 Mar 1872. Caroline Maria was born 08 Jul 1874 in Reynolds, White, Indiana. Michael's first wife, Anna, died three months after Caroline's birth, on 07 Oct 1874. Because Bertha and Caroline were so young, it is surmised that Michael placed them in the care of neighbors/friends. Bertha went to Amaziah and Sarah House Davisson. She was counted on two US 1880 Census, once with the Davissons and once with her father and step-mother, Dora. Bertha's marriage license lists Davisson as her maiden name. Caroline appeared on the 03 Jun 1880 US Census as a ward of John and Mary Noak (sic Noack). Michael remarried to Dora Brandt on 24 Apr 1875.

Michael and Dora had six children together, bringing the total number of his living children to ten. They were: Amelia, born 1877; Albert Adolph Otto "John" (1879-1925); Herman Otis, born 1881; Emma, 1885-1930; Frederick W "Fritz" (1888-1962); and John Samuel (1891-1978).

Michael died on 07 Jan 1924, in Reynolds, White, Indiana.
Dora died on 27 Aug 1903, in Honey Creek, White, Indiana.
They are both buried in Saint James' Lutheran Cemetery in Reynolds.
