Although their golden wedding anniversary occurred last Wednesday, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Vogel of 716 Tucker Street postponed celebration of the event until today. Beginning with mass at 9 o'clock this morning at St. Boniface Church, the celebration will continue with a family dinner for 40 at Casner's in Linden at 12 o'clock. This evening, after 8 o'clock, Mr. and Mrs. Vogel will be home to friends. Mr. and Mrs. Vogel have spent most of their married life in this city. They are the parents of eight children, seven of whom are living and have nine grandchildren. The children are Miss Carmeletta Vogel, at home; Miss Genevieve Vogel; Mrs. Catherine Sullivan; Mrs. Edna Bower, Mrs. Andrew Stopper; Mrs. Coletta Shank and Thomas Vogel, Jr., all of this city. The couple were married in St. John's Catholic Church in Philadelphia. Mr. Vogel is 76 and Mrs. Vogel is 74.

"Mrs. Elizabeth A. Vogel, 78, of 716 Tucker Street, died Wednesday at her home. She was a native of Minersville, but had resided here for the last 55 years. She was a member of St. Boniface Church, the Catholic Women's Union and the Christian Mother's Society. She is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Vogel, six daughters, Mrs. Edward Bower, Mrs. Andrew Stopper, Mrs. Colleta Shank and Mrs. Katherine Sullivan, all of this city, Jean M. and Carmeletta, both at home, a sister, Mrs. Agnes Lyons of Philadelphia, nine grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Funeral services were held yesterday."
Elizabeth was predeceased by a daughter, Elizabeth Vogel Confer.
Elizabeth Laverty Vogel is the wife of Thomas John Vogel.
