C. Ray Flohre Dead
C. Ray Flohre, 88, an Oklahoma City
furniture and antique dealer since 1916,
died Saturday in a Houston, Tex.,
hospital.
Flohre, who until last month lived at
1321 N Harvey, went to Houston a month
ago.
Graveside rites will be at Houston's
Forest-Park Lawndale Cemetery directed
by George H. Lewis & Sons Funeral
Home of Houston.
Flohre, a Scottish Rite Mason and
Shriner came to Oklahoma City from
Houston in 1916. In 1928 he initiated
a factory to consumer furniture store
that operated at 16 W Main.
In recent years he owned Flohre's
Antique's, located at 713 N Hudson.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs
Marion E. McAlvany, two grandchildren
and two great grandsons, all of
Houston.
