CLAUDE E. YOUNG
Funeral services for Claude E. Young, Crawford, age 91, who died Friday, August 27, at Clinton, were held in the Crawford community building Monday, August 30, at 2 p.m. with Rev. A.L. Martin officiating. He was a Roger Mills county pioneer.
Born October 26, 1879 at Carbondale, Kansas, Mr. Young came to the Crawford community in 1904 from Carbondale, Kansas, where he resided until his death. He was married to Florence M. Stucker [Stacker] at Old Grand April 14, 1904.
Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Ines Keahey, Crawford; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Thompson, Vale, Oregon; Mrs. Mildred Curry, Oakland, California.
Pall bearers were Johnnie Keahey, Gerald Keahey, Clyde Earle, Carl Kendall, Lee Flue, Fred Young. Committal was in the Silent Home cemetery with Scroggins and Son in charge of arrangements.
