Private services for Ruth Elizabeth Cavins were conducted Thursday at Rose Hill Cemetery. Born on Jan. 29, 1908, in Covington, Okla., to Walter J. and Ella S. Stevens Davis, she died on Dec. 26, 2004, in Florida.
A resident of Ardmore since 1920, she married Robert Cavins here in May of 1964, and was a member of First Christian Church where she was financial secretary for 23 years and choir member for 28 years. She was also past president of the Christian Women's Fellowship and study chairman for Esther Group. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1968.
Mrs. Cavins is survived by two nieces, Susan Davis Hansell and Dotty Davis Pendergast; four great-nieces; three great-great-nieces; and a great-great-nephew.
