Delores grew up and attended school in Mtn. Grove and graduated from Mtn. Grove High School in 1961. She was united in marriage to Donald Richard Vassar on November 26,1961 in Mtn. Grove. Five children were born to this union. They made their home in Springfield and moved to the Branson, Missouri area a few years ago. Donald passed away on February 25,2005.
Delores enjoyed doing ceramics, crocheting and reading in her spare time.
She was a true homemaker and loving wife, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. Her grandchildren became the joy of her life. She loved each minute she spent with them. She will be truly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one son: Paul Vassar.
She is survived by one son: Donald Vassar Jr. of Springfield, Missouri: three daughters: Annette Dalton and her husband, Robert, of Taneyville, Missouri, Pamela Dapprich and her husband, Larry, of Branson, Missouri, and Kerry Morrow and her husband, James, of Walnut Shade, Missouri: three brothers: Kenneth Colson and his wife Terry, of Dallas, Texas, Vernon Colson and his wife Linda, of Mumford, Oklahoma, and Larry Colson and his wife Susan, of Mtn. Grove: ten grandchildren: Several nieces; nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Burial was at Hillcrest Cemetery in Mtn. Grove, Missouri under the directions of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home.
