Iggy was born the son of I.T. and Lillian Rick on Aug. 10, 1930 in Breckenridge, where he attended school and worked on his parent's farm near Brushvale, Minn. He served with the U.S. Army in Korea from 1951-53. On Jan. 16, 1955 he married Bertha Anna Hensch. They made their home on a small dairy farm near Everdell, Minn. Later they moved to Breckenridge, until 1963, when they moved to Moorhead.
In 1967, Iggy co-founded Moorhead Electric, where he worked for the company he loved until his retirement in 1997. He was extremely saddened by the death of his wife "Bert" in 2003. Iggy enjoyed his family and friends, business acquaintances, working with his boys on the farm, and especially playing pinochle with his friends. "Just one more game," he would often say. He will be missed by many.
