"Mrs. Ethel Kay Plotner, 122 W. South St., died Friday at 11:25 a.m. in Winchester, Va., Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient since March 21. A native of the county, she was born on March 16, 1919 a daughter of the late John Andrew and Mary Jane (Eckenrod) Schilling. She had been employed by Pennsylvania Wire Rope Company until her retirement last year for disability. She was a member of the Martinsburg Baptist Temple.
Surviving are a daughter, with whom she resided, Miss Betty Jane Plotner, 122 W. South St.; two sons- Carl Lee Plotner, Berkeley Station; William Allen Plotner, Sr., Rt. 5; three grandchildren, Carla Jane and William Allen Plotner, Jr., and Chris Ann Palmer; and nieces and nephews.
A brother, John Andrew Schilling died on June 24, 1968.
Services will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home with the Rev. Ted Hall officiating. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday."
