This is my husbands great great grandfather on his mothers side of the family.
Moses and Lavina's 5th child, Mary, married Joseph Marlett, whose son Alvin Earnest Marlett married Cornelia Boyd who had a daughter Eva. Eva is my mother in law.

Moses was a Member of Company B, Frontier Battalion, Texas Rangers. Ranchers and farmers formed into groups by Texas Ranger G W Stevens to battle raiding Indians.

Moses came from Harlan Co., Kentucky with his parents and 2 other brothers and settled in Northern Wise County, Texas about 1851.
