When Corlies Jesse "Bud" Howland was born on April 21, 1917, in Long Branch, New Jersey, his father, Corlies, was 28 and his mother, Lydia, was 27. He married Elva "Jeanne" Jean Light on December 10, 1937, in Elkton, Maryland. They had three children during their marriage. He died on December 21, 1982, in Brick, New Jersey, at the age of 65, and was buried in Brielle, New Jersey.
BRICK TOWNSHIP - Curlies J. "Bud" Howland, Hulse Avenue, died Tuesday at Point Pleasant Hospital.
Mr. Howland, 65, was born in Long Branch and was a lifelong resident of the area.
He was a retired self-employed painter. Surviving are his wife, the former Jeanne Light; two sons, Gary, Puyallup, Wa., Steve, Shelton, Wa.; four grandchildren and one Great-grandchild.
The Johnson, Funeral Home, Wall Township, is in charge of arrangements.
