Sarah met Samuel Nelson Allen of Smith County, Kansas, and they married in 1875. They had at least seven children born to them: Albert, born in KS; Cora, born in KS; Jessie, born in KS; Frederick, born in MO; Thomas, born in MO; Loretta, born in MO; and a daughter, name unknown. The Allen family left Kansas around 1881 and went to Sheldon, Vernon County, Missouri. Sarah returned to Kansas after Samuel died in Sheldon in 1886.
