HELEN HARMER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Helen Ann Irwin Harmer, 73, of Idaho Falls, died May 11, 2008, at her home.
Helen was born September 20, 1934, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to James Elmer Irwin and Winifred Catherine Wall Irwin. She attended Hawthorne Elementary, O.E. Bell Jr. High and graduated from Idaho Falls High School. She obtained a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University.
She married Kenneth W. Harmer April 21, 1955, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. They were later divorced. She worked as a bank teller at The Bank of Commerce. She had teaching assignments at elementary schools in Ririe, Salmon and Mackay. She was a private postal contractor for the air express mail for over eight years. Helen returned to banking and worked at The Bank of Commerce until her retirement.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Helen enjoyed craft shows, quilting, watching the Utah Jazz, supporting her family, and reading.

Nephew: Greg Irwin, Blackfoot, ID
Niece: Kelly Williamson, Twin Falls, ID
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Naoma; and a brother, J. Richard Irwin.
Funeral Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2008, at the Idaho Falls 15th Ward, 2051 South Emerson, with Bishop Steve Parry officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, and Saturday from 9 to 9:30 a.m. at the church.
Burial will be at a later date in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
