On 16 January 1905, Marion Demous Davidson was appointed as postmaster of Wilmer to succeed Toliver Summer and both in this capacity and in his connection with the large mercantile interests of Mr. Johnson his time was fully occupied and his position in the community established on a high basis. He was trustee of the Wilmer School and later was trustee of the Wilmer-Hutchins Independent School District.
