She was the wife of Alby W. Crawford who died January 1972.

Born Aug. 25, 1919, in Frederick, she was a daughter of the late Albert H. Sr. and Mildred James Kottmyer Waldschmidt.

Mrs. Crawford had served as bookkeeper at Lilypons Water Gardens for many years.

She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church; a life member and past president of Francis Scott Key, Post 11, American Legion Auxiliary; the Chapeau Passe of Salon 57, 8 et 40 of the American Legion; a past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 1057; and a past supreme representative of Mountain City Temple 14, Pythian Sisters.

Surviving are a number of nieces, including her niece and caregiver, Sylvia Johnson of Frederick; a number of nephews, including John Reightler and wife Pam, and Jeff Reightler, all of Tennessee, Steve Reightler of Maryland, and Michael Waldschmidt of Missouri; great-nieces, Brenda Propheter of Frederick, and Mary Ann and Mindy Jo Reightler of Tennessee; great-nephew, Larry Johnson; and great-nieces, Sara, Suzanne and Jennifer Propheter, all of Frederick.

Mrs. Crawford was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Jane Reightler; and her brothers, Albert H. Waldschmidt Jr., Harry L. Waldschmidt and James R. Waldschmidt.
