Frank Jefferson Dibben, 85, of Gladstone, Missouri, departed this life July 10, 2008, at the KC Hospice House. He was born March 27, 1923, in Marshfield, Webster County, Missouri, to Arthur H and Florence Pearl Dibben. Frank was a U.S. Army veteran of WW II, European Theater, and the Korean conflict. He was an ordained deacon, member of Linden Baptist Church and American Legion Post 626. Frank served 21 years with the Boy Scouts of America and was retired from the Burlington Northern railroad. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Frances Jean, his parents, one brother and one sister. He is survived by two sons, Dwight (Beverly) Dibben of Pinedale, Wyo., Dennis Dibben of the home; one sister, Callie McGowan; one brother, Alfred Dibben; four grandchildren Brad, Jeff, Stephen and Octavia, and two great-grandchildren, Chris and Kenzie. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Charter Funerals Northland Chapel, 77 N.E. 72 St., Gladstone, Mo. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 14, at Linden Baptist Church, 611 N.E. 69th St., Gladstone, Mo., with graveside services following at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to your local church or to the NorthCare Hospice Building Fund, 2900 Clay Edwards Dr., North Kansas City, MO 64116.
