Glen E. Brindle, age 67, of 147 Sherwood Ave., St. Thomas, passed away June 29, 2006, at Chambersburg Hospital. He was born August 2, 1938, in Chambersburg, Pa., to Jacob and Annie (Snider) Brindle. He was married to Phyllis Ritter on June 24, 1983. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by the Pa. Dept. of Highways as a road surveyor for 31 years. He was of the Methodist faith. He had served in the United States Marines, and was a life member of the Marine Corps League and a member of the St. Thomas American Legion. He was an avid Rusty Wallace fan.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Ritter Brindle; and a sister, Hazel Clevenger of St. Thomas. He has three step-sons, Darrel E., Terry L. and Richard K. Connor of Chambersburg. He also has five stepgrandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Harold S. Brindle.

Funeral services will be held July 3, 2006, at 11 a.m. at the Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home Inc., 6492 L.W.W., St. Thomas. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home. Interment will be in St. Thomas Cemetery. The Honor Guard of the Marine Corps League will conduct graveside military services.
