Mr. Sylvestor Lawless Dead

The Pilot is again called upon to chronicle the death of one of Brazos county's good citizen. Mr. Sylvester Lawless died at his home near Tryon church Wednesday night after an illness of some days with pneumonia.

Mr. Lawless was 46 years old and was raised in the Tryon community. He was a good man and citizen and held in the highest esteem by his neighbors and by all who knew him. In his death his family has lost a kind and indulgent husband and father, and the county one of her valued citizens.

He was a member of the Tryon Baptist church and had lived the life of a faithful Christian. He belonged to the A.O. U. W. lodge and Friend in Need Society of this city, and several members of the lodge went out to his funeral, which was held Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock at Tryon church.

To his widow and children and other relatives the Pilot extends sincere condolence.
