Son of Daniel & Mary Ballinger Skidmore. Married Jane Whitaker June 3rd 1854 in Logan County, Ohio. Served as a Contract Surgeon in the Civil War with the 13th & 10th Ohio Batteries Light Artillery. Received a Medical Discharge August 7th 1862. He continued his practice as Doctor after the war.

***Dr. Horace Adam born 9 June 1874, died 18 Nov 1947. He was a Doctor in West Mansfield, Ohio a graduate of Sterling Medical College in 1902, started his Medical practice in West Mansfield in 1903. He continued this practice until November 1917 when he removed to Bellefontaine and located permanently. He married Bella Bowker (1874-1967) in 1895. Says he married Grace Looker 15 June 1916 in Logan Co., Ohio. Grace was daughter of Charles and Dora Maier. Did he and Bella divorce? I find no children for Horace with either wife.
