BEARDEN, JAMES EDWARD SR., age 76, of Birmingham, died Sunday, November 30, 1997. Mr. Bearden was a retired well drilling contractor and a member of Crosshaven Community Church. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Ruby Faye Bearden. Funeral services Tuesday, December 2, at 1:00 p.m., at Crosshaven Community Church. Burial in Standpipe. Survivors: wife, Doris L. Bearden, of Birmingham; four sons, James Edward (Buddy) Bearden, Jr., of Birmingham, Jereld W. Bearden, of Birmingham, Donald W. Bearden, of Leeds, Randy L. Bearden, Sr., of Chelsea; two daughters, Patsy R. Gray, of Leeds, Margaret Mickle, of Birmingham; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; a number of brothers and sisters. Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing.
