Willis Jackson Lovell, 79, of Athens died Thursday at Athens Nursing Home. Funeral services were held Saturday at Pleasant Valley Church of Christ with Rev. A. J. Rollings officiating. Burial was in Higgins Cemetery with Spry Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He is survived by his wife, Mary Liddie (Thompson) Lovell; his daughter, Ella Ree Coffman of Athens; his sons, Brady Orville Lovell of Nashville, Tennessee and Leroy Lovell of Athens; his sisters, Georgia Frances Waddell and Mary Ann "Mollie" Chambers, both of Athens, and Laura Lorena Johnson of Fort Wayne, Indiana; his brother, Jessie Milton Lovell of Athens; and eleven grandchildren.
