Relationship to contributor; Maternal Grandmother.
I was 16 when "Ma" passed away. She was a wonderful and caring sweet grandmother. She was the only living grandparent I had so I spent a lot of time with her. She taught me a lot to say the least... My hobby of sampler needlework and cross stitch began with her teaching me to embroider on pillow cases when I was very young. She loved me beyond measure and I loved her as much!
She was a fantastic cook, her German red cabbage dish was my ultimate favorite!
Note: there was always controversy on her birth year and place. It was determined through early photos and sibling birth dates along with other records that her birth year was earlier than what was inscribed on her headstone.
