Franklin served in the Vietnam War as a Specialist Fourth Class in the Army. He gotten killed in an auto accident. He was the son of Franklin Daniel (1918-2009) & Frances Elizabeth (Wert) Hite (1917-2005)

Franklin was born to Franklin and Frances Hite on the 19th of May 1946.  Growing up in the Palmyra area he attended local schools and graduated with the Palmyra High School Class of 1965. After Graduation he worked for the Hershey Chocolate Company. 


He was drafted in November 1965. After his basic training he was sent to school for food service and thereafter assigned to Viet Nam. He fell on the 13th of March 1967, when the armored personnel carrier in which he was riding went out of control and overturned in a water filled ditch. He was bringing food and other supplies to the troops engaged in Operation Junction City in War Zone C near the Cambodian border.


Besides his parents, he is survived by two sisters, Magie and Jennie; and four brothers, Charles, James, Robert, and George.
